Nandambakkam, about 15 minutes from Chennai airport and 30–40 minutes from the city centre depending on the Kathipara flyover.
Nearest metro
Meenambakkam and Alandur on the Blue Line are the closest, both a short cab ride away rather than walkable.

On-site parking, generally adequate outside the largest shows.
Where to stay
Guindy and the airport area are closest. Staying on the coast in Adyar or Besant Nagar is pleasanter but adds 40 minutes each way in traffic.
